FACTS ON UPSC INDIA
Union Public Service Commission of India is a wing under the government of India that conducts all the completive exams for All- India Services, Central Services and Public Services for different Indian States and Union territory. It helps the states in the composition and implementation of combined recruitment for any services requiring special qualification. The interests of the states in demand of the governors in consent with the President can be served by UPSC. UPSC of India is headed by the Chairman and ten members who are appointed by the President of India. Each member holds the office for a tenure of 6 years or till their retirement. Usually UPSC conducts the examination in in three phases Preliminary level, the mains and the UPSC interviews. It is the body that conducts the prominent exams such as IAS and IPS that brings out the administrative intelligence of our country therefore we may call it as the heart of the country.
