Aaraattu is an upcoming Malayalam action drama Directed and co produced by B. Unnikrishnan and scripted by Udhaykrishna. Mohanlal comes as the leading role and co featured by Sharaddha Srinath,,NedumudiVenu, Siddique and a lot more popular and talented actors adds more life to the charactors in it. The principle cinematography was started on 23 November 2020 and entire shooting came to an end in March 2021. The movie says about the events taking place in the life of Gopan who shifts from Neyyattinkara his home town to a small village in Palakkad district. Saradha Srinath plays the role of an IAS officer joined the crew on 24 November 2020. Some significant roles were shot at Ottapalam and Ootty and 2 days were spend at the Palakkad Railway station at the coast of 23.46 lakhs. The film is set to be released on 14 October 2021.
